This year, Xiaomi unveiled the Pad 6 series of tablets along with the Xiaomi 13 Ultra in April in China. It is likely that the Pad 7 series of flagship tablets may debut with the Xiaomi 14 Ultra, which is rumored to launch in April 2024. A report by GSMChina has leaked the key specifications of the Pad 7 Pro. Here is a look at what to expect from the device.
The publication claimed that it had detected the Xiaomi Pad 7 Pro tablet in the Mi code. The device will succeed the Pad 6 Pro, which came equipped with the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset. As per the details that have surfaced through the Mi code, the Pad 7 Pro, which is codenamed “Sheng,” will come equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset.
The shortened model number of the Pad 7 Pro is “N81A” and it is said to be equipped with a China-based Tianma-supplied 10-inch LCD panel that offers a resolution of 1480 x 2367 pixels and a 144Hz refresh rate.
The tablet will continue to feature a dual-camera setup on the back, but its details are not known yet. Like the predecessor model, the Pad 7 Pro will feature a quad speaker setup for stereo output. It will ship with Hyper OS-based Android 14.
Unfortunately, the Xiaomi Pad 7 Pro may remain exclusive to the Chinese market like the Pad 6 Pro. The company is also expected to announce the Pad 7 tablet along with its Pro model. The standard model may come equipped with the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset.
