Xiaomi had launched the Xiaomi Mi MIX 3 5G edition as its first 5G phone in China. Today, the Chinese manufacturer has a released an image that summarizes how actively Xiaomi has been working since 2015 to contribute towards the development of 5G in China. It also reveals that the company is now gearing up to launch its second 5G smartphone.
The poster does not reveal the name of the device. However, rumors are rife that the second 5G phone from the company will be the 5G version of Xiaomi Mi 9 smartphone. Earlier today, a 3C listing of a new Xiaomi phone with a model number of M1908F1XE was spotted. The listing reveals that it is a 5G phone that may come with a charger that will support up to 45W fast charging.
While initial rumors suggested that it could be the next Mi MIX phone, the rumor mill is claiming that it could be Xiaomi Mi 9 5G phone. It is likely that the TENAA listing of the phone may surface soon through which its exact identity will be revealed. The ZTE Axon 10 Pro 5G is the first 5G phone to release in the Chinese market. It carries a price tag of 4,999 Yuan (~$720). It remains to be seen whether the Mi 9 5G will be releasing with a cheaper price tag in China.
