Xiaomi announced the Watch S1 in December 2021, and it was followed up with the Xiaomi Watch S1 Pro in August 2022. In December 2022, it unveiled the Watch S2. At present, it is unclear whether the company plans to launch a Pro version of the Watch S2. However, a new leak by tipster Digital Chat Station reveals that the brand is working on a flagship smartwatch. The leaked specifications of the device suggest that it could be the Xiaomi Watch S3.
According to the tipster, Xiaomi will announce a new smartwatch by the end of this year. The device will come with an OLED screen and a 520mAh battery. To recall, the Watch S2 is equipped with a 500mAh battery, which further hints that the tipster could be talking about the Watch S3.
The tipster added that the smartwatch will arrive with 4G connectivity. In addition, it will arrive with other features, such as a heart rate sensor, a blood oxygen tracker, and voice calling. The leaker said he will share details about its chip and other specs in the coming days.
The tipster said in the comments section of the Weibo post that the smartwatch will be announced in November with the company’s flagship phones. Hence, it appears that the Xiaomi Watch S3 and the Xiaomi 14 series will be announced in December.
Earlier this year, there were some reports that claimed that Xiaomi is working on a smartwatch that runs on Wear OS. It is too early to say that the global version of the Watch S3 will come equipped with the Wear OS.
