The recently announced Vivo APEX 2020 had pushed the boundary of wireless charging as it offers an insanely fast 60W Super Flash Charge wireless charging solution which could bring the device from 0 to 100% within a short span of just 20 minutes.
However, since the Vivo APEX 2020 is nothing more than a concept phone, it is likely that this wireless charging technology will not enter mass productions any time soon.
Therefore, Xiaomi’s latest 40W wireless charging solution which was showcased today, is said to be the industry’s fastest wireless charging solution.
In an official promo video released by the company, a slightly customized Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro with 4,000mAh battery can be seen charging from 0 to 57% within 20 minutes, and subsequently achieved a full charged within 40 minutes.
At current stage, Xiaomi’s 30W Mi Charge Turbo is the company’s fastest wireless charging solution which was first featured on the Xiaomi Mi 9 Pro 5G, The new solution introduced today is definitely a huge improvement over it’s predecessor.
Since the new 40W wireless charging solution is likely to be within early stage of testings, it is unlikely for it to be available on the upcoming Redmi K30 Pro. However, it will definitely debut with one of Xiaomi’s upcoming premium smartphone models later this year.
