ZTE will be soon announcing the world’s first smartphone with under screen selfie camera. It is believed that the first phone arriving with the said technology in China will be called ZTE A20 5G. There is a possibility that the phone may break cover as ZTE Axon A20 5G. The company is yet to confirm on the launch date of the device. It may go official this month or early next month. Ahead of the launch, the phone has surfaced at TENAA with full specifications and images.
ZTE A20 5G Specifications
As can be seen, the ZTE A20 5G that has a model number of ZTE A2121 has 172.1 x 77.9 x 7.9mm dimensions and it weighs 198 grams. The handset has a massive display of 6.92 inches. The OLED display supports Full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2460 pixels. The phone houses a 4,120mAh battery that carries support for rapid charging technology.
The handset is powered by an octa-core processor that clocks at 2.4GHz. The phone may arrive in China in RAM editions like 6GB, 8 GB and 128 GB. It is likely to come storage choices such as 64 GB, 128 GB, and 256 GB.
The rear side of the phone has a quad camera system that includes a 64-megapixel main camera, an 8-megapixel lens, and a pair of 2-megapixel sensors. Coming to the major attraction of the phone, it is equipped with a 32-megapixel under display camera. The company has revealed that the new tech will be good at capturing selfie shots. ZTE’s President for Mobile Business, Ni Fei recently said that blind tests conducted on the camera solution revealed that there are no problems with the under display camera technology.
The ZTE A50 5G runs on Android 10 OS and it has a microSD card slot for additional storage. A fingerprint sensor is also embedded under the display of the device. The phone is likely to be available in colors like Nebula Gray and Sky Blue in the home market.
