The ZTE Axon 30 Ultra smartphone was launched in the global market back in May this year. Now, the company has announced a new special edition variant known as the ZTE Axon 30 Ultra Aerospace Edition in it’s domestic market which packs an ample 18GB RAM under the hood. This model is in fact the first smartphone in the world to feature a top-of-the-line 18GB RAM + 1TB Storage memory configuration.
Additionally, the ZTE Axon 30 Ultra Aerospace Edition also has a specially-curated, space-themed gift box which also features some additional accessories like the ZTE LiveBuds Pro wireless earbuds as well as a matching phone casing of the same color. Other than that, the rest of it’s hardware specs remain the same as the existing models.
As a quick recap, the ZTE Axon 30 Ultra sports a 6.67” AMOLED display that offers a FHD+ screen resolution, smooth 144Hz screen refresh rate, 100% DCI-P3 color gamut, 10-bit color depth and HDR10+ support. On top of that, there’s also a 16 megapixels selfie camera as well as an in-display fingerprint scanner.
Around the back of the phone, you’ll be greeted by a humongous camera island which houses a quad-camera system headlined by a trio of 64 megapixels cameras for wide, ultra-wide and portrait shots. This will be rounded out by an 8 megapixels periscope camera which offers up to 5x optical zoom and 60x digital zoom.
Under the hood, the ZTE Axon 30 Ultra is powered by the latest Snapdragon 888 chipset which will be paired with up to 16GB RAM and 1TB onboard storage. Despite the hefty storage capacity, it can still be further expanded via a microSD card.
To keep its light on, the ZTE Axon 30 Ultra draws power from a respectable 4,600mAh battery which carries support for 66W fast-charging. Sad to say, there isn’t any wireless or reverse charging support on the Axon 30 Ultra. In terms of pricing, the ZTE Axon 30 Ultra Aerospace Edition will set you back by 6,998 Yuan (US$1,095) in the Chinese market.
