ZTE Axon 30 Ultra design revealed ahead of launch

ZTE will be holding an official launch event on April 15 where the company is expected to unveil the next-generation’s Axon 30 series flagship phones that will reportedly include the likes of the ZTE Axon 30, Axon 30 Pro, as well as Axon 30 Ultra.

Among these upcoming devices, the company has revealed that there will be at least two models which are powered by the Snapdragon 888 chipset which is used in most of the recently announced flagship phones like the OPPO Find X3 Pro (Review).

Today, ZTE has also revealed the full design of what seems to be the ZTE Axon 30 Ultra in four different colorways including Black, White, Blue and Gold.

At the back, the Axon S30 Ultra sports a huge rectangular camera island which resembles what we saw on the ZTE S30 Pro. Its quad-camera setup has been confirmed to feature three 64 megapixels shooter for wide-angle, ultra-wide-angle, as well as portrait shots. This will be rounded out by an 8 megapixels periscope telephoto camera which is said to offer 5x optical zoom.

Upfront, the ZTE Axon 30 Ultra flaunts a central hole-punch display with curved edges. According to rumors, the front display is said to be an OLED panel with 120Hz refresh rate, HDR10 support, as well as an in-display fingerprint scanner. Likewise, the front-facing selfie camera was also rumored to be a 44 megapixels shooter.

Other than that, we also learned from its recent 3C certification that the Axon 30 Ultra could support up to 66W fast-charging as well.
