Earlier this month, ZTE unleashed the company’s latest Axon 30 flagship series in its home market and will soon be opening it’s pre-order for the global market starting May 27th.
Pricing-wise, it’s 8GB+128GB variant will be priced at $749/€749/£649, while the 12GB+256GB variant will set you back by $849/€849/£739. That’s in fact pretty close to it’s official launch price in the Chinese market.
For those who’d missed out, the ZTE Axon 30 Ultra is a premium flagship model that will take on the likes of other similar flagship models in the market including the recently announced OPPO Find X3 Pro (Review) and the Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra.
As a quick recap, the ZTE Axon 30 Ultra sports a 6.67” AMOLED display that offers a FHD+ screen resolution, smooth 144Hz screen refresh rate, 100% DCI-P3 color gamut, 10-bit color depth and HDR10+ support. On top of that, there’s also a 16 megapixels selfie camera as well as an in-display fingerprint scanner.
Around the back of the phone, you’ll be greeted by a humongous camera island which houses a quad-camera system headlined by a trio of 64 megapixels cameras for wide, ultra-wide and portrait shots. This will be rounded out by an 8 megapixels periscope camera which offers up to 5x optical zoom and 60x digital zoom.
Under the hood, the ZTE Axon 30 Ultra is powered by the latest Snapdragon 888 chipset which will be paired with up to 16GB RAM and 1TB onboard storage. Despite the hefty storage capacity, it can still be further expanded via a microSD card.
To keep its light on, the ZTE Axon 30 Ultra draws power from a respectable 4,600mAh battery which carries support for 66W fast-charging. Sad to say, there isn’t any wireless or reverse charging support on the Axon 30 Ultra.
As usual, the ZTE Axon 30 Ultra runs on the company’s proprietary MyOS 11 based on Android 11 out of the box. In terms of connectivity, the ZTE Axon 30 Ultra also brings support for both NFC and Wi-Fi 6E.
