ZTE Axon 9 Pro Announced at IFA 2018 With Premium Build, Notched Screen and Flagship Specs

After brief hiatus caused due to violation of U.S. sanctions, ZTE is back in business as it has announced the all new ZTE Axon 9 Pro flagship phone at the IFA 2018 tech expo in Berlin, Germany. The Axon 9 Pro has adopted the notched display design and is packed with internals that are found on other flagship phones.

The ZTE Axon 9 Pro is fitted with a 6.21-inch AMOLED display that offers an aspect ratio of 18.7:9 and Full HD+ resolution of 2248 x 1080 pixels. The notched display of the Axon 9 Pro is dubbed as Axon Vision and it carries support for HDR10 video playback. The phone boasts a premium appeal as it features a 3D glass rear. The thickness of the handset is only 7.9mm.

The Snapdragon 845 chipset of the Axon 9 Pro is coupled with 6 GB of RAM. It has an inbuilt storage of 128 GB. The backside of the phone features AI dual camera with 12-megapixel and 20-megapixel camera sensors. At the front is a 20-megapixel selfie camera. The phone is packed with a 4,000mAh capacity. The handset is equipped with stereo speakers that deliver Hi-Fi audio experience thanks to Dolby Atmos support. Some of the other features of the Axon 9 Pro include IP68 rated dustproof and water-resistant chassis, Android Oreo and rear-mounted fingerprint scanner.

There is no confirmation on the release date of the ZTE Axon 9 Pro. The company has revealed that it will be hitting the European markets with a price tag of 649 euros ($756).
