Last week, ZTE revealed that it will be soon launching the world’s first smartphone with under-screen camera technology. Then, a ZTE phone with model number ZTE A2121 appeared in the database of TENAA with full specifications and images. Today, the company officially confirmed that the device will launch as ZTE Axon 20 5G on Sept. 1.
Previously, the company had mentioned the name of the device as ZTE A20 5G. However, considering that the ZTE 2020 model number belonged to the Axon 10 Pro 5G, it seemed likely that the ZTE A2121 could be arriving in the market as ZTE Axon 20 5G. The official confirmation on its name and launch date has come today.
ZTE Axon 20 5G Specifications
Since the ZTE Axon 20 5G has been approved by the TENAA regulatory body, all its specifications are known. The handset measures 172.1 x 77.9 x 7.9mm and it weighs 198 grams. The phone houses a massive OLED display of 6.92 inches. Underneath the display is the 32-megapixel selfie camera.
The backside of the Axon 20 5G is powered by a 2.4GHz octa-core processor. The phone is expected to arrive with up to 12 GB of RAM and up to 256 GB of storage. There is a microSD card slot on the backside of the device.
The Axon 20 5G features a 64-megapixel + 8-megapixel + 2-megapixel + 2-megapixel quad-camera system. The phone houses a 4,120mAh rated battery that supports fast charging capabilities.
