Chinese telecommunication giant ZTE has unveiled a new entry-level smartphone known as the ZTE Blade A71 in the Malaysian market where the phone carries an affordable starting price of just RM499 (US$119).
The ZTE Blade A71 features a 6.52” IPS LCD display which boasts a HD+ screen resolution, 60Hz refresh rate, 90.5% screen-to-body ratio, as well as an 8 megapixels front-facing camera to handle selfie and video call.
On the flip side, the ZTE Blade A71 sports a rectangular camera island which is home to a triple-cam setup comprising of a 16 megapixels main camera, 8 megapixels ultra-wide lens, as well as a 2 megapixels depth sensor.
Under the hood, the device is powered by an octa-core Unisoc SC9863A chipset which has been used increasingly among entry-level smartphones and tablets. This will be paired with 3GB RAM and 64GB onboard storage which supports microSD card for storage expansion up to 512GB.
The ZTE Blade A71 draws power from a modest 4,000mAh battery with an unspecified charging speed. It will be shipped with Android 11 out of the box.
