Many weeks ago, Chinese manufacturing giant, Huawei, released its new flagship Honor Play in Beijing. This smartphone covered the headlines at the time notably for its compatibility with GPU Turbo, a technology that Huawei says will improve graphics processing efficiency by up to 60% and SoC power consumption by 30%. At launch, Honor Play had three variants, the 4GB+64GB and 6GB+64GB versions which were priced at 1999 yuan ($290) and 2399 yuan ($348) respectively as well as the 6GB+64GB Special Edition which arrived with a 2499 yuan ($363) price tag. Now the company has officially announced the fourth variant of this smartphone with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. Though the memory has been doubled, the company said that the price will not be increased. Thus, we expect this smartphone to sell for at most 2399 yuan ($348) just like the 6GB+64GB Special Edition which is the most expensive Honor Play version so far. The Honor Play 6GB+128GB variant will go on sale at 10:08 on August 14 and you can make a purchase at Vmall, Jingdong, Lynx, Suning Tesco, and it will be available in the US as well.
