Official: Honor Pad V8 Debuts With a Large 12.1” Display & MediaTek Dimensity 8100 Chipset

Honor has officially announced a new mid-range tablet in the Chinese market known as the Honor Pad V8. This model comes as a successor to the Honor Pad V7 which was unveiled slightly more than a year back.

The latest model builds around a 12.1” IPS LCD display which offers plenty of screen estate for both work and play. It supports a 2,560 x 1,600 pixels screen resolution and features an ultra-fast 144Hz refresh rate.

Imaging on the Honor Pad V8 Pro is handled by a 13 megapixels rear snapper, while selfies and video conferencing will be taken care by a 5 megapixels front-facing camera which sits along the upper bezel (when the slate is held horizontally).

Under the hood, the Honor Pad V8 Pro is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 8100 chipset which will be paired with up to 12GB RAM and 256GB built-in storage in the memory department. Other than that, it also features a quad-speaker system with with DTS:X Ultra support.

To keep it’s lights on, the slate is backed by a respectable 10,050mAh battery with 35W fast-charging support. Software-wise, it’ll be shipped with the latest Magic UI 6.1 based on Android 12 OS out of the box.

Those who’re interested can pick the slate from three different colorways such as Grey, Blue, and Orange. It’ll be priced starting from 2,599 Yuan ($376) for it’s 8GB+128GB base model and goes up to 3,299 Yuan ($477) for the top-of-the-line model featuring 12GB RAM and 256GB onboard storage.
