Samsung Galaxy S9, S9+ Confirmed to Debut on February 25
Earlier in this month, Samsung had officially announced that it won’t be launching the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2018, but it will be using the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2018 platform to unleash them. Today, the South Korean company has officially revealed that there will be Galaxy Unpacked 2018 event on Feb. 25 to unveil the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+. It means that the event will be held a day before the MWC 2018 that begins on Feb. 26.
It is quite evident that from the official invitation that Samsung’s Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ will be arriving with significantly improved cameras. Previous rumors have revealed that the Galaxy S9 will be featuring a single camera of 12-megapixel and the S9+ would be fitted with a 12-megapixel dual camera setup. Recent reports have also stated that like the Samsung W2018 clamshell phone, the Galaxy S9 duo will be offering f/1.5 to f/2.4 variable camera aperture. Moreover, both the smartphone will allow users to record super slow-motion videos of 1080p quality at 480 fps.
After getting unveiled on Feb. 25, Samsung is expected to start with the pre-orders of the Galaxy S9 duo on March 1 and it is rumored to begin the shipments on March 16.
