Vivo X9S, Vivo X9S Plus Officially Announced with Dual Front-Facing Cameras, Slim Design

Last year, Vivo had released the Vivo X9 and X9 Plus smartphones in the last quarter of 2016. Yesterday, it announced the Vivo X9S and V9S Plus as upgraded version of the Vivo X9 and X9 Plus. The design of the new phones is quite similar to their predecessor models. However, Vivo X9S and X9S Plus respectively measure 6.99mm and 7.25mm in thickness. These phones are slimmer than Vivo X9 and X9 Plus that respectively measure 7mm and 7.5mm.

The Vivo X9S comes with a 5.5-inch full HD resolution supporting AMOLED screen whereas its bigger sibling X9S Plus has a larger FHD AMOLED screen of 5.85-inches.  The Vivo X9S and X9S Plus phones are respectively powered by Snapdragon 653 and Snapdragon 652 chipsets. Both the smartphones feature 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB storage.

The Vivo X9S gets a AK4376 audio chip and the Vivo X9S Plus comes with ES9318 H-Fi audio chip. Both phones are equipped with 3.5mm audio jack. They are running on Android 7.1 Nougat that is customized with FunTouch OS 3.1 from Vivo. Like the predecessor phones, the X9S and X9S Plus are equipped dual front-facing cameras which include a 20-megapixel sensor and a 5-megapixel sensor. The rear camera that is equipped image stabilization is of 16-megapixel. A fingerprint scanner is placed under the Home button on both the phones. The Vivo X9S has a 3,320mAh battery whereas the Vivo X9S Plus gets a 4,015mAh battery.

The Vivo X9S is priced at 2,698 Yuan (~$398) and the Vivo X9S costs 2,998 Yuan (~$440). There is no information on when these phones will be launching outside China.
