Xiaomi Mi 5 receives a price slash in China

With just 5 days left before the official unveiling of the highly anticipated Xiaomi Mi 5S, retailers in China has begun giving its Mi 5 predecessor a small price cut in hope of freeing up their warehouse for Xiaomi’s upcoming flagship.

Price of the Mi 5 has apparently dropped from RMB1,799 ($270) to RMB1,599 ($240), equating to an approximate discount of $30.

However, with the imminent release of the Mi 5S there is indeed little reason for people to purchase this 6 months old device unless it is being treated with further discount. $30 simply not worth it, but that’s only my personal opinion.
