Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Featuring 5.99-inch FHD+ Display, SD625, 12MP Camera Unveiled

Xiaomi has finally unveiled the Redmi Note 5 in India alongside its advanced model called the Redmi Note 5 Pro. Both the smartphones are the first Redmi devices to arrive with 18:9 display.

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 is fitted with a 5.99-inch IPS LCD display that supports Full HD+ resolution of 2160 x 1080 pixels. The screen is safeguarded by Gorilla Glass 5. The older Snapdrago  n 625 chipset is present under the hood of the smartphone. The 32 GB and 64 GB Redmi Note 5 respectively feature 3 GB and 4 GB of RAM. Both the models are equipped with hybrid SIM for supporting dual-SIM and microSD card.

The rear side of the Redmi Note 5 features a 12-megapixel sensor with a pixel size of 1.25?m. It is equipped with a selfie camera of 8-megapixel that has been optimized to capture good selfie shots in low-light conditions. It comes preinstalled with Android 7.0 Nougat that is overlaid with MIUI 9. It houses a massive battery of 4,000mAh battery.

The Redmi Note 5 comes with a metallic chassis with a thickness of only 8.05mm. It will be available in colors like Black, Gold, Rose Gold and Blue. The 32 GB and 64 GB Redmi Note 5 respectively cost Rs. 9,999 (~$155) and Rs. 11,999 (~$187). Flipkart, Mi.com and Mi Home stores will begin the sales of the Redmi Note 5 from Feb. 22 in India.
