Honor has today confirmed that it will be holding a launch event on Dec. 21 at Shenzhen Futian Sports Park to unveil a new smartphone. Honor had launched the Honor 9 earlier in this year and it seems that the company is prepping up to debut the Honor 9 Lite with full screen design on Dec. 21.
The invitation shared by Honor features a pair of glasses and some texts that contains information related to AI. Hence, it is speculated that the Honor 9’s rumored dual front and rear cameras will be equipped with AI capabilities. The alleged handset has already received certification from TENAA and its seems that it all set to get unveiled next week.
The TENAA listing of the phone has revealed that it would be coming with an 18:9 aspect ratio supporting display of 5.65 inches. It will be delivering Full HD+ resolution of 2,160 x 1,080 pixels. The Kirin 659 chipset is expected to power the 32 GB storage + 3 GB RAM and 64 GB storage + 4 GB RAM variants of the rumored Honor 9 Lite phone. It will be driven by 2,900mAh capacity battery. The front and rear sides of the phone will be featuring 13-megapixel + 20-megapixel dual cameras. It features a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner. The two models of the alleged Honor 9 Lite are expected to be respectively priced around 1,299 Yuan and 1,599 Yuan.
