Honor 9 will not be heading to US anytime soon

Yesterday, the Honor 9 was officially launched in the European markets shortly after the device was unveiled in China earlier this month. Right now, a report from Android Central has revealed that Eva Wimmers, Vice President of Honor EU / Global, had confirmed a U.S. release for the Honor 9 is “not planned at this moment.” Of course, that statement doesn’t play down the possibility that the Honor 9 will be heading to the US market in a later time as well.

According to reports, sales of the Honor 8 in the US market had gone below expectations as compared to the Asian and European markets where the company flairs relatively better. This could be one of the reasons for the delay in the US market. Just like the European markets, Honor will probably be holding an official launch event in US if they finally decided to bring their latest flagship to the country.

Currently, the Honor 6X is the second and also the last device the company had launched in US after they penetrated its smartphone market last year.
