Xiaomi has been having a great time in India. Its Indian success story came to light late last year when it became the No 1 smartphone brand in the country. Manu Jain, President Xiaomi India, attributed its success to a good team and unbeatable prices. Now, the company has gotten to another level in India. After launching the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 and Redmi Note 5 Pro in India last week, the company went commercial today with these devices on Flipkart and its own e-commerce platform in the country. Well, the sales ended as soon as it started because all 3 million units of these smartphones sold out in less than three minutes.

Xiaomi India’s president, Manu Jain, took to his official Twitter handle to announce the good news stating that over one million of both smartphones sold out in about one minute. Xiaomi alleges that this is the “biggest sale ever in the history of India” and other potential buyers should gear up for the second round of sales which would take place on February 28th. While the Redmi Note 5 was available for Rs 9,999 ($154), the Note 5 Pro goes for Rs 13,999 ($215).

In other news, Xiaomi Mi TV 4 also achieved a good sales as it sold out in less than ten seconds, although there is no information regarding the number of units sold. The Mi TV 4 which sells for Rs 39,999 ($616) will be available again on the 27th of February.
