Lei Jun confirms that the Xiaomi Mi 7 will be powered by Snapdragon 845 SoC

During an official Snapdragon Tech Submit event held in Hawaii, Xiaomi’s CEO Lei Jun had confirmed that the company’s upcoming Xiaomi Mi 7 flagship will be the first smartphone from the company to be powered by the latest Snapdragon 845 SoC.

This revelation once again, reaffirmed the Chinese company’s effort to stay aloft with its competitors’ flagship devices, while offering them at a reasonable and affordable price tag. Needless to say, the company’s next Mi Mix phone (probably called the Mi Mix 3) will likely be powered by the same chipset as well.

Other than that, Lei Jun also revealed during the event that Xiaomi is not yet ready to emerge into the US market even though they had had set their sight on a US launch in the near future.
