Meizu X2 Snapdragon 845 Powered Flagship Launching at Year End with 2,999 Yuan Cost

Meizu X was a premium looking mid-range smartphone from the company that was made official in November 2016. Few months ago, Meizu VP Li Nan had claimed that the second-generation Meizu X will not be a mid-range phone. Instead, it will be launching as a flagship phone. Today, he has revealed that the smartphone would be launching at the end of this year. He also some more vital information on it.

According to Li Nan, the successor of Meizu X will be fueled by Snapdragon 845 chipset. He has also confirmed that it would be costing around 2,999 Yuan (~$473). However, he has not revealed any other information on the phone. Since the company has switched to full screen design starting with the Meizu M6S, the Meizu X2 may also feature an 18:9 aspect ratio display. Also, it may come equipped with side-mounted fingerprint reader and Super mBack button.

 

Meizu E series Li Nan

He added that Meizu would be launching the affordably priced E3 smartphone with high-end specs to fill in the void. Meizu VP has claimed that the Meizu E series will be powerful like the Smartisan Nuts Pro smartphones. It is speculated that the Meizu E3 that is slated to get announced on March 6 will be powered by the upcoming MediaTek Helio P70 chipset.
