Vivo Announces 120W Super FlashCharge Technology

Vivo has surprised the smartphone industry by announcing its 120W Super FlashCharge technology in China. As the number reads, Vivo’s technology is faster than 120W Super Charge Turbo technology that was unveiled in March this year. Vivo is expected to showcase the technology in the coming week at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) Shanghai 2019 tech expo

The Vivo 120W Super Flash Charge technology can fully charge a smartphone with a 4,000mAh battery in only 13 minutes. In comparison, the 100W rapid charging technology from Xiaomi takes 45 minutes to completely charge a 4,000mAh smartphone. To reach 50 percent capacity from scratch, the Super FlashCharge technology requires only 5 minutes.

Vivo did not confirm on the technical specifications and details of 120W Super FlashCharge tech. The Vivo iQOO gaming phone that came with 4,000mAh battery that was unveiled in April featured 44W fast charging. The new technology could be seen on a flagship phone that may announce later this year from the company. There is a possibility that sibling brand OPPO may also debut its fast charging technology at some point this year.
