Vivo’s Product Manager Li Xiang teases the Vivo NEX 3 smartphone yesterday to reveal the extremely curved edges of the display. The curvature of the smartphone is more pronounced than the curved displays seen on flagship phones from Samsung. Today, has shared a new sketch of the Vivo NEX 3 to reveal how it appears from all angles.
The Vivo NEX 3’s front is mainly occupied by the display that features super-slim upper and lower bezels. The thin form factor of the phone and the absence of a selfie camera in the top bezel suggests that the handset could be equipped with the latest in-display camera technology. There are no physical buttons on the edges of the phone. Coming back to the display, it bends sharply towards the edges giving it like a waterfall-like look on both sides. Hence, the display design of the phone is being referred to as ‘waterfall display.’ The upper edge of the phone has a 3.5mm headphone jack, a speaker and a microphone. The bottom edge of the phone is not visible in the sketch.
The rear side of the smartphone has a triple camera that looks very similar to the design of a mechanical watch. There is no fingerpint scanner on the backside of the phone which indicates it could be coming with an in-screen fingerprint reader.
