Xiaomi Introduces POCO Brand in India

Xiaomi has launched a new sub-brand called POCO in India. In the recent weeks, the rumor mill spilled a lot of information on the Pocophone F1. It is very likely that the company may soon launch the Pocophone F1 in India as the first phone under POCO branding.  Here is a tweet from Manu Kumar Jain, the Global VP and Managing Director for India, which confirms the launch of the POCO brand.

Recent reports have also revealed that the POCO brand will be also arriving in the European market. Now that the POCO is official now in India, the country may get the Pocophone F1 as early as this month.

Rumors have it that the Pocophone F1 is a flagship phone that is fueled by Snapdragon 845 SoC and 6 GB of RAM. It is expected to feature a native storage of 64 GB and it would be also featuring a microSD card slot. It is rumored to house a 5.99-inch IPS LCD display. The notched display is expected to support FHD+ resolution and 19:9 aspect ratio. The rear panel of the phone may feature 12-megapixel + 5-megapixel dual camera setup. The notch of the phone is pegged to house a 20-megapixel selfie camera. The notch of the phone is also expected to include an IR camera and IR illuminator which means the phone will be able to carry face unlock even in dim light conditions.
