Xiaomi has reportedly pushed back the launch of the Mi 7 as it is speculated to debut the Mi MIX 2s smartphone at the upcoming Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2018 tech trade show. The Mi 7 is pegged to debut in April or May this year. A leaked screenshot has appeared to show the main specs of the Mi 7.
The leaked snapshot reveals that the Mi 7 has a 5.65-inch display that supports Full HD+ resolution of 2160 x 1080 pixels. The Snapdragon 845 chipset powers the phone with 8 GB of RAM. It has 16-megapixel + 16-megapixel dual camera setup. The native storage of the Mi 7 is 128 GB. It is likely that it may arrive in 64 GB + 6 GB model too. It is running on MIUI 9 Developer ROM version 8.1.30, but at launch it may feature the latest edition of MIUI 9.
It is difficult to conclude whether the screenshot shared in the post is real or fake. The Mi 6 came with a battery of 3,350mAh capacity. Inclusion of a larger battery of 4,480mAh capacity sounds to good to be true. Moreover, previous reports have claimed that the Mi 7 will be coming with a 6-inch FHD+ display. There is a possibility the 6-inch screen would be available on the larger Mi 7 Plus. Hence, it is recommended to digest this report with a grain of salt.
