Xiaomi is now preparing to bring its most recent flagship phone – the Xiaomi Mi 8 to markets outside of China. The Facebook account of Xiaomi Taiwan has confirmed that the company will be holding a launch event on July 25. The huge number 8 mentioned on the launch poster confirms hints that the company is very likely to announce the Mi 8 smartphone through the upcoming unveil event in Taiwan.
On May 31, Xiaomi had launched Mi 8, Mi 8 Explorer Edition, Mi 8 SE, Mi Band 3 and MIUI 10 in China. The launch poster that had surfaced before the unveil event had carried some hidden elements which hinted on the multiple products that were to be unveiled on May 31. The below poster for Taiwan also seems to carry some hidden elements. There is a possibility that the company may announce another smartphone alongside the Mi 8.
There is no information available on the pricing of Xiaomi Mi 8 for Taiwan. The handset features a 6.21-inch AMOLED screen, Snapdragon 845 SoC, 6 GB of RAM and up to 256 GB of storage. It is fitted with dual 12-megapixel rear snappers and a 20-megapixel front-facing. It is fueled by a 3,400mAh battery. The handset is preloaded with MIUI 9.5 based Android 8.1 Oreo.
