Xiaomi is launching the Mi 8 Youth Edition smartphone tomorrow through an unveil event in Chengdu, China. The company will be also announcing the Mi 8 Screen Fingerprint Edition smartphone alongside the Mi 8 Youth Edition. Freshly leaked unboxing photos of the Mi 8 Screen Fingerprint Edition has been shared by a reliable leakster on Weibo through which some of its features and specs have been confirmed.
The above images reveal that the Mi 8 Screen Fingerprint Edition has a model number of M1807E8A. The USP of the phone is equipped with in-display fingerprint reader. It also includes Snapdragon 845 chipset, dual-band GPS, 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage.
The below images show that the smartphone features a sleek glass rear that lacks a rear-mounted fingerprint reader. Rumors have it that the Mi 8 Screen Fingerprint Edition will be available in Gold and Black color options. The third image shows that the Gold variant may have a gradient finish.
The leakster who has shared the leaked unboxing images of the Mi 8 Screen Fingerprint Edition claims that the handset could be priced at 3,699 Yuan ($539) whereas another tipster from China claims it could be costing 3,499 Yuan ($510). The handset is speculated to arrive in 128 GB storage + 6 GB RAM and 128 GB storage + 8 GB RAM options. It is likely that these variants may cost 3,499 Yuan ($510) and 3,699 Yuan ($539).
