Xiaomi Mi 9 Release in February Hinted Officially

Multiple reports have claimed that the Xiaomi Mi 9 flagship phone will be announced in February. Yet again, another official hint has surfaced today that that the Mi 9 will be debuting this month. A Weibo user asked Xiaomi’s official Weibo account that will the company launch the Mi 9 in February and if the answer is yes, it should reply with a dog’s head expression. His question was answered with the desired expression. This serves as another proof that the Mi 9 will be debuting this month.

The IMDA certification body from Singapore had recently certified Xiaomi phone with model number M1902F1G as the Xiaomi Mi 9. This indicates that the M1902F1A and M190F1T models that were approved by 3C in January could be the Xiaomi Mi 9 variants heading to China. The 3C listing had confirmed that the phone would carry support for up 27W fast charging.

The M1902F1A and M190F1T models have also received certification from TENAA. However, their TENAA listings do not include any specifications and images. Rumors surrounding the Xiaomi Mi 9 have revealed that the Mi 9 will be coming with a waterdrop-style notched screen. It could be powered by Snapdragon 855 chipset and 6 GB of RAM. It may debut as the first Xiaomi smartphone with triple rear-mounted cameras. Also, it is expected to feature wide-area in-screen fingerprint unlocking technology.
