Xiaomi Redmi 6 Series to Debut on June 12, May Tag Along Redmi 6A, Redmi 6 Pro/Plus

In the previous week, Xiaomi had debuted the Xiaomi Mi 8, Mi 8 Explorer Edition and Mi 8 SE smartphones along with some other devices on May 31. Today, the company has confirmed on Weibo that it will be introducing the Redmi 6 series on June 12. Xiaomi has not revealed any information on the specs of the Redmi 6 series, but it appears that the company will start teasing the features of the upcoming budget phones on Weibo in the coming days.

Just few days ahead of the unveiling of Xiaomi Mi 8 series, a Xiaomi phone with a model number of M1805D1SE was approved by Ministry of Industry and Information Technology in China which suggested that the launch of the phone is close at hand. However, the company did not announce it on May 31.


Its appearance at TENAA has revealed not only revealed its specs, but also its appearance. The device features a 5.84-inch FHD+ display with notch. An octa-core processor that clocks at 2.0 GHz powers the phone. Its RAM variants are 2 GB, 3 GB and 4 GB whereas its storage models are 16 GB, 32 GB and 64 GB. It is packed with a 3,900mAh battery. For photography, it features a dual camera setup with 12-megapixel primary sensor and a 5-mgeapixel selfie camera. It is speculated that the Redmi 6A and Redmi 6 Pro/Plus may also along with Redmi 6.
