Xiaomi had launched the Mi 6 flagship phone in April last year. However, it is yet to launch its successor phone this year. The rumor mill has been speculating that the Mi 7 may get unveiled in the first half of the year. A leaked poster released that has surfaced online suggests that the Mi 7 may get unveiled on May 23.
The above poster carries the number 7 along with the date of May 23. The poster is not available on the official Weibo account of the company. Hence, the authenticity of the Mi 7’s launch date poster could not be confirmed.
Xiaomi is rumored to launch Mi 7 and Mi 7 Plus together. The Mi 7 is expected to sport a notched OLED display and it is expected to carry support for 3D facial recognition. Rumors surrounding the Mi 7 Plus claim that it could be equipped with under-display fingerprint scanner.
Recently, the unannounced Mi 7 Plus was found listed on an online Chinese retailer site. Its listing revealed specs like 6.01-inch display that supports 18:9 aspect ratio, Snapdragon 845 SoC, 6 GB of RAM, internal storage of 64 GB, 12-megapixel + 20-megapixel AI dual camera.
If the Xiaomi Mi 7 is really launching on May 23, the Chinese manufacturer will surely start teasing its features soon.
