In 2019, Huawei had recorded the highest annual growth among all major smartphone OEMs in the world.
However, it is increasingly difficult for the Chinese smartphone giant to continue replicate their success this year due to the ongoing US trade ban.
Since the trade ban effectively cut-off Huawei’s access to licensed Google services, the firm has been forced to develop their own set of Google replacement apps.
Recently, the firm had also inked a deal with TomTom for the use of their mapping and navigational services.

Now, a new report has claimed that Huawei is planning to pre-install 70 of the most popular Android apps on their future smartphones. Depending on the country or region, the pre-installed apps may vary.
It is likely that the upcoming Huawei P40 flagship series could be the first batch of smartphones with these pre-installed apps.
This is certainly a good idea as it would save plenty of time for the users, as well as eliminate the security risks that are tied to “sideloading of Android APKs”.
At the same time, Huawei is also working with global developers to port their apps over to the company’s proprietary AppGallery.
