A new Huawei smartphone has surfaced in Germany, just days after the company unveiled the Honor 6X at CES. The phone, Huawei P8 Lite 2017, seems to be a descendant of the highly-successful Huawei P8 Lite which was launched sometime in 2015. However, in terms of the design as well as the specifications, both smartphones differ.
Taking a look at the specs, the Huawei P8 Lite 2017 features a 5.2-inch LTPS display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. There is a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor on the device, and there is no home button. The phone is powered by a Kirin 655 chip with an octa-core A53 processor, while the graphics is fired up by a Mali-T830MP2 GPU. There is 3GB of RAM and 16GB of expandable storage aboard the mid-range device. The storage can be notched further up to 128GB.
Camera wise, the smartphone sports a 12MP rear-facing sensor with f/2.0 aperture and LED flash, as well as an 8MP front-facing camera. The latest edition also packs a large 3000mAh non-removable battery which should provide some hours of usage.. On the software aspect, the smartphone runs Android 7.0 Nougat with EMUI 5.0 hovering on top. The P8 Lite 2017 comes as a dual-SIM smartphone.
The Huawei P8 Lite 2017 is available in black, white and gold color variants and will soon be available in the European market by the end of January. It comes with a EUR 249 price tag.
