Samsung Galaxy Note 8 Leaked Case Shows What to Expect from its Design

Samsung has been criticized for placing the fingerprint reader at an unfriendly position on the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ flagships. Accessing the fingerprint reader on the Galaxy S8 duo causes smudges on the camera lens. Hence, the rumor mill had been speculating that the Galaxy Note 8 would be coming with a front-mounted fingerprint scanner. However, recent rumors have revealed that Samsung Galaxy Note 8 would be coming with a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner. A couple of leaked images of the Note 8’s case that has appeared earlier today further indicates that the flagship phablet will be coming with rear-facing fingerprint sensor.

The above images show that the Galaxy Note 8 would be coming with a dual rear camera module aligned in a horizontal manner. Besides it is the cutout for the LED flash and on the right side of it is the cutout for fingerprint scanner.

The bottom side of the phone appears to feature gaps for a 3.5mm audio jack, a USB-C port, a speaker and an S-Pen stylus. The openings on the right side of the Galaxy Note 8’s case is for volume controllers and Bixby AI button. The left edge seems to sport a Power button.
