OPPO and Vivo have more market share than Xiaomi in China even though the latter was ruling the Chinese smartphone market a few years ago. It is mainly because of the aggressive marketing by building offline stores that OPPO and Vivo have managed to have built up huge customer base than Xiaomi in countries like China and India. Even though Mi and Redmi series phones are quite popular in these markets, Xiaomi seems to be working on a new smartphone series that will rival with OPPO and Vivo through offline stores.
The above image is the leaked photo of the first smartphone that belongs to the new series from Xiaomi. Speculations suggest that the new series will be called Bluemi that will mainly focus on launching well-designed smartphones. Latest information suggest that this new phone is called X1 and it will be debuting before the end of this month. It is said to be codenamed as Xiaomi Jason that appeared on a benchmarking site few days ago.
The image shows the presence of dual rear cameras along with dual-tone flash. The upper antenna band runs on along the top edge of the phone. The image does bear a resemblance with iPhone 7 Plus and OnePlus 5 smartphones.
