The Huawei Mate 10 flagship smartphone is expected to debut in October this year. Speculations have revealed that it would be driven by Kirin 970 chipset. Fresh information indicates that the TSMC has resolved the production problems of the 10nm chipsets and the mass production of Kirin 970 will begin in September this year.
Like the Kirin 960, is successor chipset – Kirin 970 will continue to feature the Cortex A73 architecture. However, there may be a significant improvement in the graphics department. It may feature RM Heimdallr MP (12-core) graphics. Hence, the performance of the Kirin 970 will be similar or even better than the Samsung Exynos 8895 and Qualcomm Snapdragon 835.
The Huawei Mate 10 is expected to feature a 6-inch full-screen display from JDI that will support 18: 9 aspect ratio and offer a resolution of 2,060 x 1,080 pixels. The Huawei Mate 9 has a 5.9-inch display that supports full HD resolution of 1,920 x 1,080 pixels.
It is rumored to come with dual rear cameras with 3D sensing support. Speculations also hint the Mate 10 would be coming in two models namely, Huawei Mate 10 and Mate 10 Pro. The latter is expected to come with higher end specs. More information on these variants are expected to appear in the near future.
