Following the footsteps of the newly unveiled Huawei Mate 10 and Mate 10 Pro, the Huawei Mate 9 and P10 duo will soon be running on the latest Android Oreo as well. This came after the Chinese company confirmed during the recent launch event that they will soon be releasing the Oreo update to the pair in the coming months. Among the two, the Mate 9 and Mate 9 Pro are expected to receive first, followed by the P10 and P10 Plus.
Along with the update comes the Oreo-based EMUI 8.0 upgrade as well. No much details on what improvements the EMUI 8.0 will bring to the smartphones although the company claimed that it will improve the performance of the handset by as much as 12%. Sad to say, the Huawei Mate 9 will be receiving the real-time smart scene recognition features this time round.
