The HTC U11 and U11 Life have been officially unveiled today. The U11 Life+ is a flagship phone that arrives with the new 18:9 design. The U11 Life is a mid-range phone that comes in Android One and Sense UI version.
HTC U11+
The U11+ features a 6-inch Super LCD-6 display that produces QHD+ resolution and an aspect ratio of 18:9. The screen supports DCI-P3 color gamut and HDR 10. It has a reflective Liquid Surface design on the back panel. It comes in colors like Ceramic Black, Amazing Silver and Translucent Black. It features a squeezable frame like the U11 phone which can be used for launching frequently used apps and contacts.
The U1+ is powered by Snapdragon 835 and it comes in options like 4 GB RAM / 64 GB storage and 6 GB RAM / 128 GB storage. It also includes a microSD card slot and the phone is fueled by 3,930mAh battery that is enabled with Quick Charge 3.0. An 8-megapixel selfie camera with f/2.0 aperture is present on its front panel. Its rear side houses f/1.7 aperture 12-megapixel sensor. The HTC U11+ will not be released in the U.S., but it will be coming to European and Asian markets with a pricing of 799 euros (~$929).
HTC U11 Life
HTC U11 Life is a mid-range that features a 5.2-inch FHD display that is powered by Snapdragon 630 chipset. It has a rear camera of 16-megapixel that supports 4K recording. The frontside is enabled with 16-megapixel selfie camera with full HD recording.
The HTC U11 Life variant coming to the U.S. has 3 GB of RAM, 32 GB of internal storage, and Sense UI skinned Android 7.1 Nougat. Other features include Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant, and Cat. 9 LTE modem. It is priced at $350 in the U.S. and $449 CAD in Canada. These markets will receive only Sapphire Blue version of the phone.
Rest of the world will be getting Android One edition of the phone that runs on stock version of Android 8.0 Oreo. It has 4 GB of RAM, 64 GB of storage, Cat. 11 LTE modem and comes in Sapphire Blur and Brilliant Black color. It is available in the U.K. with a pricing of £349
