Sony has been using the Mobile World Congress (MWC) platform to announce its new smartphone since several years. Hence, it is speculated to unveil new phones at MWC 2018 in February. Previous rumors have revealed that the Japanese tech giant may announce the successor smartphone for Sony Xperia XZ Premium as well as the alleged Sony Xperia XZ2 at MWC 2018. Today, a leaked render of a mysterious phone has surfaced. It is speculated that the render may belong to the rumored Xperia XZ2.
The above image shows that it could be the first smartphone from the company to house dual rear cameras. Also, it could also be the first Sony to feature a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor. However, there is no confirmation on whether the mysterious phone features a full screen design. Since it appears like a user created render, there is no way to confirm if such a device really exists.
The alleged Xperia XZ2 is rumored to feature a 5.48-inch full HD display. The Snapdragon 845 SoC is speculated to power the handset. The rear side of the phone may house a pair of 12-megapixel dual rear cameras. Other features of the rumored phone include IP68 certified chassis, 15-megapixel front-facing camera, Android 8.1 Oreo, dual-SIM support, 3,130mAh battery, and dual-SIM support.
