Samsung has unveiled the Galaxy A8 (2018) and Galaxy A8+ (2018) smartphones. As far as appearance are concerned, these phones look similar to the Galaxy S8 and S8+. Moreover, the 2018 Galaxy A phones are equipped with dual front-facing cameras.

The Samsung Galaxy A8 (2018 smartphones feature IP68 certified chassis that come in color choices like Black, Blue, Gold and Orchid Grey. The 2018 A8 and A8+ respectively feature 5.6-inch and 6-inch FHD+ resolution (2,220 x 1,080) supporting S-AMOLED screen with Infinity Display design. Both the phones offer an aspect ratio of 18.5:9.
The 2018 Galaxy A8 and A8+ are equipped with dual front-facing snappers that include a fixed focus 16-megapixel sensor with f/1.9 aperture and an 8-megapixel sensor with f/1.9 aperture. Their back panel feature f/1.7 aperture 16-megapixel sensor that is equipped with digital stabilization.
The rear-facing fingerprint scanner can be used to authenticate payments on Samsung Pay. The 3,000mAh and 3,500mAh batteries that are respectively available on the Galaxy A8 (2018) and Galaxy A8+ (2018) support fast charging through USB-C port. These phones are running on Android 7.1 Nougat OS and are fueled by an octa-core processor that features two cores running at 2.2 GHz and six cores clocking at 1.6 GHz. Other features include Bixby AI, Bluetooth 5.0, NFC, 4G LTE and Wi-Fi 802.11ac.
The official pricing of the Galaxy A8+ and Galaxy A8+ (2018) have not been disclosed yet. These phones are expected to be showcased at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2018 that will be held in Las Vegas in the next month.
