During an official press event held in China earlier today, Vivo had confirmed that the company will kick off the large scale production of their Vivo APEX concept phone which had stole the limelight during the MWC event last month.
After being the first mobile manufacturer to introduce a under-display fingerprint sensor last year, the Chinese company is now looking to revolutionize the bezel-less smartphone market with their new Vivo APEX which they claimed will be coming with a 91% screen-to-body ratio – topping over Xiaomi Mi Mix 2’s 80.8% screen-to-body ratio. Other than having a near bezel-less display, the Vivo APEX will also features a pop-up selfie camera similar to what we’d seen from the Essential smartphone least year. What’s even more better is that it will take less than a second to activate and raise the front-facing camera if you need it.
According to Vivo, the upcoming APEX flagship will come with a 5.99-inches OLED display which promises an immense graphical experience for its users. Even though the Vivo APEX is equipped with all these high-end technologies, but the Chinese company is still able to produce an extremely sleek chassis for the device which has a thickness of just 7.8mm. Undoubtedly, the device will also be powered by the latest Snapdragon 845 SoC out of the box.
Given that the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S will soon be making its debut as well, it’s really hard to make a choice between these two awesome looking handsets.
