Japanese multinational conglomerate, Sony, is quite popular for its manufacturing of electronic devices, however, its smartphone business is not as lucrative as its other electronics. The company unveiled a couple of smartphones at the recently concluded MWC 2018 held in Barcelona, Spain. Now, the Sony Xperia XZ2 and XZ2 Compact have been released in Hong Kong.
The Sony Xperia XZ2 has a streamlined body design and it is available in fog night black, snow silver, ice lake green, and coral powder colors. This smartphone uses a 5-inch display thus it will be easily handled with one hand. It has a display resolution of 2160×1080 pixels with an 18:9 aspect ratio. The Sony Xperia XZ2 Compact is powered by the flagship Snapdragon 845 SoC coupled with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. It runs on Android 8.0 Oreo and its lights are kept on by a 2870mAh battery.
A major point of attraction with these Sony smartphones is their camera. The Xperia XZ2 Compact boasts of a 19MP Motion Eye camera with f/2.0 aperture and it supports 4K video recording, 960fps at 1080P resolution and many more. In addition, it is IP68 dustproof and waterproof certified which means this smartphone is properly sealed from water and dust effects. The Xperia XZ2 Compact is available for 4998 Hong Kong dollars ($637) and shipping will commence on March 23.
