Xiaomi Mi 8 series was introduced on May 31. Just ahead of the launch event, Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun had confirmed that Mi Max 3 would be unveiled in July. Since the Mi Max 3 is slated to debut in this month, it has already bagged certifications from 3C and TENAA authorities in the recent weeks. Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun has shared an image of box package of the Mi Max 3 as its first teaser to build hype around the its arrival.

The image of the Mi Max 3’s box package has a minimalist design with a large number “3” present on it. It seems to be a big-sized box. Jun did not share any details on the specs and features of the Mi Max 3. It is likely that the Chinese manufacturer may release some more teasers before the official announcement of the smartphone.

According to the TENAA listing of the Mi Max 3, it features a 6.99-inch display that carries support for Full HD+ resolution of 2160 x 1080 pixels along with an aspect ratio of 18:9. The phablet is fueled by 1.8 GHz octa-core processor. There is a possibility it may feature Snapdragon 636 SoC or the newly unveiled Snapdragon 632. It is pegged to feature a mammoth battery of 5,400mAh capacity.

The Mi Max 3 may arrive in RAM variants such as 3 GB, 4 GB and 6 GB and storage options such as 32 GB, 64 GB and 128 GB. The dual camera setup of the smartphone is expected to feature a 20-megapixel primary sensor and an 8-megapixel secondary sensor. It may come with a frontal shooter of 16-megapixel.

Some rumors have claimed that there could be a higher model featuring Snapdragon 710 SoC. It is speculated this model may arrive in the market as Xiaomi Mi Max 3 Pro. This variant is also rumored to feature 6 GB of RAM and an internal storage of 128 GB.
