A Chinese leakster has claimed that the 48-megapixel phone could be the first Redmi flagship phone.

The Redmi lineup has always featured mid-range and entry-level smartphones, but it seems that the Chinese manufacturer may break the norm announcing a Redmi flagship phone. When the image with “48MP Camera” was shared by Bin, many started speculating that it could be featuring Sony IMX586 or Samsung ISOCELL GM1 48-megapixel sensor. However, the leakster claims that the alleged Redmi phone could be featuring the cheaper Samsung GM1 sensor.
