Honor V20 with Kirin 980 released for 2999 yuan ($435)

After so much speculation and rumors, Chinese manufacturing giant, Huawei, finally released its latest flagship smartphone, Honor V20. This smartphone comes as the last flagship of the company this year and it is expected to be a smartphone for the 2019 market. The company pegged a starting price of 2999 yuan ($435) on this device and it will be available in Phantom Blue and Phantom Red colours from December 28th (Pre-sales have already commenced).

Looking at the major configuration of this smartphone, the Honor V20 is powered by Huawei’s latest flagship processor, Kirin 980 coupled with 6GB/8GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage. The SoC performance is increased by 75% and the GPU performance is increased by 46%.  It uses a 6.4-inch punch-hole screen with a screen aperture of 4.5mm which is much lower than the 6.0 mm aperture obtainable in the industry before now. In the camera department, the Honor V20 comes with a Sony IMX 586 48MP sensor with 1/2-inch pixel size which supports a fourth-generation dual-channel ISP, dual-brain NPU, and AIS handheld super night scene. In addition, it has an AI-assisted 25MP front camera which has a ToF stereo deep sensor. The lights of this smartphone are kept on by a 4000 mAh battery which supports 4.5V/5A super-fast charge and NINE liquid cooling technology.

In addition, Honor V20 also has a WALN three-antenna design which gives the device a magnificent grip. With the GPU Turbo 2.0, you can transform the Honor V20 to a Windows 10 computer. This smartphone also supports AI dual-frequency GPS, YOYO voice assistant, and many other amazing features. The newly released Link Turbo technology released by Huawei was also used in this smartphone. Link Turbo can identify areas with poor network reception and automatically adjust the phone to 4G LTE so you can have a seamless internet usage. As for pricing, the Honor V20 6GB+128GB variant costs 2999 yuan, while the 8GB+128GB model is offered for 3499 yuan ($507).
