Tutorial : How to unroot the Sony Xperia T In case you do not know, your device will not be able to receive any updates rolled out for it after you’ve rooted it. So if you’d rooted your Sony Xperia T, you may want to unroot it in order to update it to the latest Jelly Bean software which has been rolled out in some countries. So in this tutorial, I will guide you on how to unroot the Sony Xperia T within 45 minutes. . However before we begin, I would like to warn you that during the process of unrooting, there is a risk of bricking your own device. So if you still want to proceed, you’ll be doing it at your own risk and we will hold no responsible for any form of damage on your device. It’s also a good practice for you to backup your device before embarking on any of these procedures.

 

*This procedure works only if you’ve rooted the Xperia T using this procedure. Similarly, it works only on PCs running on Windows OS.

 

  1. Download the Root_with_Restore_by_Bin4ry_v18  package. ( This is the same program that you’d used to root the Xperia T )
  2. Extract the files to your desktop.
  3. Enable USB Debugging on the Sony Xperia T, by going to Menu > Settings > Developer Options > USB Debugging.
  4. Connect the Xperia T to your PC using a USB cable.
  5. Execute the RunMe.bat application.
  6. On the program, select the Normal Mode option.
  7. From the program, select the unroot option.
  8. Wait a moment for it to unroot your device…
  9. Reboot the Xperia T.
  10. Congratulation you’ve successfully unrooted your Sony Xperia T!
  11. Now, you can go ahead and update your device to the latest Jelly Bean or firmware…
