Xiaomi India has announced the Redmi Y3 and Redmi 7 smartphones through a launch event in New Delhi. The major selling feature of the Redmi Y3 is that it is equipped an AI driven 32-megapixel front camera. Here is all the information on the specs, features and pricing of the Redmi Y3.

Xiaomi Redmi Y3 Specification and Features

The Redmi Y3 comes with a 6.26-inch IPS LCD HD+ display with waterdrop-style notch. The Snapdragon 632 SoC is present under the hood of the device with up to 3 GB of RAM. It comes with a maximum storage of 64 GB. There is a dedicated microSD card slot for additional storage. It features a 4,000mAh battery.

The Redmi Y3 has an f/2.0 aperture 32-megapixel frontal camera. It comes with various features such as auto HDR, 4-in-1 Super Pixel, screen flash, AI portrait mode, AI Beauty 4.0 and EIS enabled video recording at 60 fps. The rear shell of the phone has a 12-megapixel + 2-megpaixel dual camera setup that carries support for features like dual-tone LED flash, AI scene detection, AI portrait mode and full HD video recording at 60 fps along with EIS. The MIUI 10 flavored Android 9 Pie OS runs on the Redmi Y3.

Xiaomi Redmi Y3 Price and Release Date

The Xiaomi Redmi Y3 variants like 3 GB RAM + 32 GB storage and 4 GB RAM + 64 GB storage are respectively priced at Rs. 9,999 ($145) and Rs. 11,999 (~$175). The official sales of the phone will begin in India on April 30.
