Bad news to all Motorola fans out there. Apparently, Motorola has came out to clear the rumors about the much chattered Moto Z4 Force and Moto Z4 Play earlier today. According to the company, the newly announced Moto Z4 will be the only smartphone in the “Z” series this year – meaning both the Moto Z4 Force and Moto Z4 Play are non-existential in their current pipeline.
This is despite the fact that the Moto Z3 Play was debut alongside the Moto Z3 last year which raise some questions on why Motorola had decided to drop the Z4 Play this year. Of course, some of the possible reasons could be due to the company’s effort in streamlining its smartphone lineup and reshuffles their resources to focus more on the quality rather than quantity of the smartphones produced. Over the years, we have seen drastic improvements from Motorola’s mid-rangers handsets which had helped to capture a considerable market share within the mid-ranger smartphone market.
Even though there wouldn’t be any new Moto Z smartphones this year, but there will certainly be other new phones slated to debut in its other series. For now, let’s keep our heads up and see what surprises the company has for us later this year!
