After announcing their latest Vivo X27 Pro and Vivo Y17 smartphones back in April this year, it seems like Vivo is now setting their sight to further expand their current ‘X’ and ‘Y’ series.
Right now, the Chinese company has filed a trademark rights for the ‘X30’ and ‘Y27’ monikers with the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) – hinting that the upcoming members of the ‘X’ and ‘Y’ series will very well be carrying the aforementioned monikers.
Similar to the current Vivo X27 and X27 Pro, the upcoming Vivo X30 is expected to be a high-end unit which will arrive with a set of impressive specs under the hood. Perhaps, the X30 could be the first handset from the company to feature their newly patented “reverse notch” design for its selfie cameras.
The Vivo Y19 on the other hand, should be an affordable handset targeted at the mid-ranger market. Of course, we can expect to see some minor upgrades here and there for the Y19 with regards to its processor or camera. Since the trademark filings did not mention anything about its hardware specs, all these will remain as a mystery for the time being.
If nothing goes wrong, the Vivo X30 and Y19 duo could be made official by the end of the year.
