Upcoming Vivo Z5 will be officially announced on July 31st

Last week, a mysterious Vivo smartphone with model number number V1921A was certified in China. According to latest reports out of China, this device could very well be the upcoming Vivo Z5 which will be announced on July 31st later this month.

Although Vivo has yet to officially confirm the launch on their Chinese Wenbo microblog, but they have already begin sending out press invites to the media outlets.

Similar to most other smartphones in the current Z5 series, the device is expected to come with an affordable price tag which is packed with loads of exciting features and specs under the hood.

Vivo Z5 Specifications

The TENAA listing of the Vivo Z5 reveals that it measures 159.53 x 75.23 x 8.13mm and it weighs 189.6 grams. The smartphone features an AMOLED display with waterdrop notch that offers full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels. It includes a minimum rated battery of 4,420mAh capacity. The handset carries support for fast charging.

The smartphone is loaded with Android 9 Pie OS. It is fueled by an octa-core processor that clocks at 2.3 GHz. It comes with 6 GB / 8 GB of RAM. For storage, the smartphone offers options such as 64 GB, 128 GB and 256 GB. There is no support for external storage on the device.

The absence of a fingerprint scanner on the rear side of the phone is a giveaway that it is equipped with an in-display fingerprint reader. For shooting selfies, the smartphone has a frontal shooter of 32-megapixel. The rear shell of the phone has 48-megapixel + 8-megapixel + 2-megapixel triple camera setup. A Jovi AI assistant button seems to be present on the left spine of the device.
